A Festival Look with Influenster *

Summer season is here, which means festival season is here! I might a little late jumping on the bandwagon of posting festival looks but I thought I'd give it an attempt anyway - you can tell me how I have done with this!

I was kindly gifted one of the VodBox's by the wonderful guys at InfluensterUK! I have been sent some of these before but this time I was mega excited because the box was in relation to Love Island and if you have read my previous post around this, then you know I love it! So along with it being Love Island based there was obviously make up involved too, it was a RimmelXLoveIsland box, which I mean what is better than make up and Love Island? I'll answer that, nothing! So, in the VodBox there were were 3 Wonder'swipe liners, a Scandeleyes Wow mascara and some Love Island temporary tattoos which look insane!

Right, let's jump into the look. In all honesty I was staring at my make up drawer and the liners sent from Rimmel and Influenster and was like where the hell do I start?! Obviously in times like this, I did what any other human in need of inspiration would do and turned to Pinterest - once again, my initial reaction was how the hell do I achieve that?! In this post, I will not be discussing my base and brows - except for mentioning that my foundation is the Collection foundation, concealer is Maybelline and the rest is Revolution Beauty - as I feel as though everyone has their own personal routine and formula for their perfect base so I am just going to dive into the areas that I took a little more of a risk on. For the base eyeshadow, including transition shades and initial blending, I jumped into my Sophdoesnails palette with Revolution (the first palette she released, your girl hasn't got her hands on the new one just yet!). Once I needed a bit more colour and warmth, I dipped into the darker pink/red shades of the Soph palette whilst also grabbing an old favourite of my Modern Renaissance palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills because we all know that she is the queen of warm tones and this look just called for this palette.

Within this look I decided it needed some glitter or a break in colour, so I grabbed my Kiko Fall 2.0 liquid eyeliner in gold as I genuinely believe that it is insanely good for cut creases (not that I am an expert at those but I tried). So I filled in the front half of my lid with the Kiko eyeliner as well as VodBox Rimmel liner and set it with  Primavera from the Modern Renaissance palette. The supercat skinny liner from Soap and Glory was used to draw the winged liner and a pair of lashes from KISS where popped on. I then grabbed the gold eyeliner from the VodBox and used it on my inner corner to highlight it as well as bringing it down to my lower lash line. For the outer portion of my lower lash line I brought some of the bright colours used on the top lid to the bottom to draw the look together.

Lets discuss the face jewels, The Gypsy Shrine did that! I genuinely believe they are the place to go to for any facial jewel designs for festivals. I decided I wanted to extend the length of the look under the eye by grabbing the blue glittery liner from the VodBox and implemented some dots into the look to bring the length of the bottom lash to the same as the top.

In order to incorporate a bit of colour into other aspects of the face, I decided to grab Love Letter and Venetian Red from ABH and add them into my blush and highlight areas (cheekbones, temples and forehead), I feel like festivals are the perfect place to incorporate colour into the rest of your face. Talking about highlighter, I used my holy-grail Sophdoesnails highlighter palette. Along with doing something a little different, I also decided to give myself some freckles by using the Soap and Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil. For lips, I decided to apply my liquid lipstick from NuSkin as it is my favourite formula and tied into the eyes perfectly.

In relation to the eyeliners, I have used them multiple times outside of this festival look and in day to day life. I never ever get creative with looks but I had so much fun creating this one alongside being dead proud of myself for how it finished. This has definitely motivated me to create a few more looks and testing out different things, so I would love some ideas - you know I'm going to be heading back to Pinterest too!

Much love
