Brunch with Beauty at Brunch! - Event

It was time to visit another part of London, this time it was Islington! This time it wasn't for a launch, it was for brunch with Beauty at Brunch. Beauty at Brunch is a blog ran by Lily and Rae and they put on this brunch event, as a way of bloggers meeting and it was lovely! If you read my post about the last event I went to, you will know I took my friend with me, this time I went alone (apparently I thought I was brave)! Luckily a week or so beforehand a few other girls and myself were in a Facebook group, so we got talking and they were also going to the event, so at least I wasn't going to be a complete loner. The event was held at The Dead Dolls House and even though that may sound slightly creepy and eery, it was actually such a beautiful venue.

The girls had organised different 'activities' lets say, for us to have a go at throughout the day and it was so good. This event really allowed you to get to know other bloggers and mingle and had a really nice relaxed kind of vibe to it, which was lovely as you never felt pressured to be doing something. There were two flat lay tables set up for competitions, where we shared a photo to instagram, tagged the companies and they would then pick a winner. The competitions were for Coconut Lane and Clean Beauty Co. I found out around a week after that I was lucky enough to be picked as the winner for the Clean Beauty Co. competition and got sent the products that I displayed in the photo at the event. Personally, I didn't think I was that good at flat lays so I was pleasantly surprised by this! They also had temporary tattoos that were created by a watercolour artist and since getting some tattoos myself (I will get round to doing a post on those), all it has done is make me want more! There was also a selfie booth, which don't lie, everyone loves! Now, I have heard a lot about these ring lights and I was always a bit sceptical but now after testing one, I most definitely need one! They are practically miracle workers!

My favourite aspect of the day, I must say was the food (no surprise there Abbie!). The spread the girls had organised was insane! There was such a variety and it really catered for everyone. My favourite part was definitely the waffles, they were on another level completely! If I could of been that person to sit there with the whole tray I would of (yum!).

I thoroughly enjoyed my day meeting the girls, as well as lots of other lovely supportive bloggers. The girls were kind enough to put together goodie bags for us, which included so many lovely items like a chia seed drink, facial oil, loose leaf tea and a hair mask, which I cannot wait to try! I couldn't of got the hair mask at a better time, my hair is after some serious tlc right now.
This day and event was also such a fabulous excuse to meet up with my best friend and spend some quality time with her in the city of London because I don't get to come down that often currently! We had a fab time and some hilarious videos were definitely created!

I love attending blogger events, mingling and meeting new people. It always gets me so excited and happy to be a part of this community.

Much love

x

  10. I am so jealous you got to attend a blogger party. I am so excited to eventually be able to meet up with my fellow blog babes in my area and share tips and stories! Also, I have had my little eye on a ring light for ages. I'm think my next paycheck will afford me one. Great post!
